FBI AND FLORENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO HOST 18 TH ANNUAL SOUTHEASTERN LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR (SLEDS)

 

Birmingham – Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Carmen S. Adams announced that the 18th annual Southeastern Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (SLEDS) will begin on October 8, 2006 at Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, Alabama. SLEDS is specifically designed for the chief executive of smaller law enforcement agencies which typically employ between 20 and 40 sworn officers. This year’s program will include law enforcement executives from Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi and Kentucky.

Training for the program will be provided by instructors from the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC as well as various FBI Field Offices and other federal agencies.

SLEDS is sponsored annually by the Birmingham Division of the FBI and the Florence, Alabama Police Department. Graduation will be held on October 12, 2006.
