NOTICE OF PRESS CONFERENCE

FORMER UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA FOOTBALL
COACH GENE STALLINGS TO PROMOTE
ALABAMA CHILD SAFETY INITIATIVE

Birmingham – FBI Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Carmen S. Adams, Bobby Timmons, Executive Director of the Alabama Sheriffs Association and Kenny Hansmire, Executive Director of the National Child ID Program will be hosting a joint press conference at the Birmingham Airport on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. The press conference will be held in the VIP Room adjacent to the Birmingham Police Department Airport Precinct.

Former University of Alabama head football coach Gene Stallings will acknowledge the Alabama Sheriffs Association (ASA), sheriffs across the state and the FBI for their contributions in protecting the children of Alabama.

The ASA and sheriffs throughout the state have partnered with the American Football Coaches Association’s and the FBI’s National Child Identification Program to provide 410,000 Child ID kits for the children of Alabama. Through the efforts of the ASA, every Alabama child in grades kindergarten through 6 th grade will receive a Child ID kit.

Coach Stallings will make brief remarks. Following the remarks other participants will be available for interview.
