FBI AND HOMEWOOD POLICE SEEK INFORMATION IN WACHOVIA BANK ROBBERY

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Carmen S. Adams announced that the Wachovia Bank, 300 West Valley Avenue, Homewood, Alabama was robbed today at approximately 11:45 a.m. A lone black male entered the bank and presented a note to a teller. The subject claimed he was armed and demanded money. The subject is described as approximately 5’8, 160-170 pounds, slim build and dark complexion. The subject was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an image of a hand on the right chest and a black hat.

Following the robbery the subject left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. His direction of travel was unknown. No one was injured during the robbery. Photos are attached.
